Numerous individuals, like Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town and former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, are already in the running to follow Pochettino.

However, Tuchel is a “very concrete” candidate, according to Sky Sport Germany, so it might be a well-known figure that takes the helm.

The 50-year-old was fired on September 20, 2022, the 100th day of Clearlake Capital’s ownership of Chelsea, making him the first significant casualty.

Tuchel had won three championships in the twenty months prior, including the Champions League, but had fallen out with the club’s owners amid a turbulent time of turmoil.

He has struggled at Bayern Munich, since the team only finished third in the Bundesliga, and he made it known earlier this year that he would be leaving the team at the end of the campaign.

In an attempt to persuade Tuchel to stay, Bayern spoke with the club’s administration last week through Olaf Meinking, Tuchel’s agent.

Tuchel did, however, clarify that no deal was reached and that his 4-2 loss to Hoffenheim on Saturday was his last game: “There were discussions, but we were unable to come to a consensus, so the February decision is still in effect.”

In the event that Erik ten Hag is fired, Tuchel—who has previously been connected to the Manchester United position—is eager to get back into the Premier League, and Sky Sport Germany reports that he would be happy to return to west  London.

They even assert that “relaxed discussions” have occurred in the last few days, prior to the confirmation of a decision regarding Pochettino’s future.

Tuchel can see himself rejoining Chelsea since he feels his role there is “unfulfilled,” even though the Blues’ management may want to take a different approach.

Chelsea has been strоngly cоnnected tо McKenna оf Ipswich, whо plays оffensive, pоssessiоn-based fооtball. Chelsea is believed tо prefer a yоuthful, prоgressive cоach.
