Comparing “Black Adam” with the action projects he has appeared in before, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that the role truly reflects his personality.
Belfast Telegraph reported that on May 9, The Rock posted a new photo taken from behind the scenes of the movie  Black Adam. The muscle star and his crew are in the process of reshooting some scenes for the superhero blockbuster about to hit theaters.

Accompanying the black and white photo of The Rock’s full body in  Black Adam’s outfit, surrounded by state-of-the-art recording equipment are a few lines of the actor’s confession – as usual. The actor informed the audience that he was in the final days of filming Black Adam and that this anti-hero role accurately reflected his true self.

“The intense work week continues as we reach the final stages of polishing Black Adam. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to play many impressive (and funny) characters. But none of them have accurately reflected me like the anti-hero in the black suit Teth Adam,” The Rock wrote.

In  Black Adam, The Rock plays Teth Adam. He was a slave living in ancient Egypt, given power from the wizard Shazam and became  Black Adam. However, he abused his power for dishonest purposes, leading to his imprisonment by the powerful wizard.

In the original comic book, Black Adam was set free in modern times and repeatedly confronted Billy Batson – the new successor of the powerful wizard of the past. The movie Black Adam starring The Rock is a spin-off, but can be considered a prequel to Shazam! (2019).

Early last week, The Rock also informed fans that he and the  Black Adam crew had returned to the set to reshoot some scenes. “It’s great to be back on the set of Black Adam with more than 750 talented crew members. We are making a few tweaks before we are ready to send the work to post-production,” he wrote. The Rock also just celebrated his 50th birthday on the set of  Black Adam.

At the end of March 2021, The Rock revealed that Black Adam will hit theaters on July 29. However, by March, Warner Bros. once again adjusted the release date of the work. The film’s new release schedule is October 21, three months later than the original plan. Sharing with the press, the producer of  Black Adam said that the reason the movie was delayed in theaters was that computer graphics studios in Hollywood were overloaded.
